About the Artist

Holly Stedman, stained glass artist in Sedona

Holly Stedman

I have been designing and creating stained glass since 1983. During that time, I have had the opportunity to share my talents through classes in my studio, mentoring at the local high school, the semiannual Open Studios Tour, gallery representations, numerous stained glass magazine articles, and my book, "Splendor In The Glass; Creating Stained Glass Beyond The Ordinary.”

I create fine art Stained Glass panels and sculptural works which are displayed and sold in my studio and galleries throughout Sedona.

Most of my days are spent creating custom stained glass doors, partitions, and windows, such as those at Sedona’s Mariposa Restaurant, in my spacious, modern studio.

Teaching beginning and intermediate Stained Glass, both Tiffany copper foil style, and traditional lead method, have been especially gratifying for me. The small class size I maintain allows for quality one-on-one attention.

In addition to expressing my love of the dynamic qualities of glass through my unique style, I also enjoy my “adventurer” side. Inspiration from trekking and canoeing in the high arctic, sailing and snorkeling the Caribbean and Tahiti, caving, backpacking the Grand Canyon, and kayaking with Orcas throughout northern Vancouver Island, has a definite influence in my varied artistic endeavors.

My husband and I have made Sedona our home since 1993.
